Harbor Way - Little Traverse Wheelway Extension Project
The Little Traverse Wheelway is a non-motorized trail running 26 miles around Little Traverse Bay from Harbor Springs to Charlevoix. The Wheelway was constructed in segments over the years, with the most recent four-mile stretch along M-119 from the Harbor Springs Airport to Kosequat Park, completed in 2010.
Harbor Inc. has been instrumental in promoting community-benefiting projects. We are now partnering with the City of Harbor Springs and Top of Michigan Trails in fundraising efforts to expand the Little Traverse Wheelway. This extension will create a passage under M-119 using the tunnel, allowing both locals and visitors to safely access downtown Harbor Springs.
